Institute of Transportation CIP to Design Pedestrian-Cycling Bridge Between New Belgrade and Ada Ciganlija

The Institute of Transportation CIP has won the job of designing the pedestrian-cycling connection between Omladinskih Brigada Street and Ada Ciganlija at the tender which was opened in November last year by the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency.

The estimated value of the public procurement was RSD 125 million without the VAT, and as the sole bidder, CIP offered RSD 106.39 million without the VAT and was awarded the contract of that value for the preparation of the technical documentation for the construction of the future bridge.

The planner has a deadline of 765 days to, among other things, deliver the preliminary design, location requirements, preliminary project, approval planning and decision on the building permit, which means that the construction of the bridge, in the best-case scenario, can begin in two years, in the spring of 2026.

The length of the future bridge, a priority city project, for which the Detailed Regulation Plan (DRP) was adopted at the beginning of last year at the Belgrade City Parliament, will be 520 meters. The width of the road is around six meters, of which three meters are reserved for the bicycle lane and as many for the pedestrian corridor. In addition to pedestrians and cyclists, it is also planned for light ecological electric vehicles – scooters and skateboards, but not for road traffic.
