Six offers for Mobtel's privatization councillor - Merrill Lynch International, Goldman Sax International, BNP Paribas, Rotšild cie Paris, EPIC Standarder cet and UBS Investment bank

Government's Commission for public procurements has opened six offers for supply of consulting services of privatization councillor in the sector of telecommunications. The offers were sent by consulting companies from London, Paris and Vienna.

The following consulting companies answered the invitation for delivery of offers and bidding documentation: Merrill Lynch International and Goldman Sax International from London, BNP Paribas and Rotšild cie Paris from Paris , Consortium from Vienna EPIC Standarder cet and UBS Investment bank from London.

The privatization councillor that will deal with the question of legal successor to Mobtel will be selected through direct negotiations without previous annouancement of open competition. The five-member commission will evaluate technical offers within three days.

The technical offers that are accepted will then be analysed from the financial aspect.

On March 16, the Government of Serbia made decision on start of public procurement for consulting services, whereas the final decision about selection of privatization councillor for telecommunications sector will be made prior to April 15.
