The statistics are clear – an increasing number of tourists is visiting Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. For example, Serbia was visited by 230% more Chinese tourists than in 2022, there were 13.7% more overnight stays in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro stands out as one of the countries with one of the biggest increases in tourism revenues.

The potentials of all three countries are big, and many are still insufficiently utilized.

Cultural, gastronomic and historical tours are an opportunity to attract even more foreign tourists, as it is important to provide them with an authentic experience. Certainly, local tourists shouldn’t be neglected either, and the priorities should be set based on the needs.

In order to attract new tourists, but also interest those who are in transit or on business trips, it is necessary to dedicate oneself to innovations and “keep up with the world”. There are more and more environmentally aware tourists, as well as those who value “smart technologies”. Due to this, in addition to an attractive offer, it is important to have an innovative concept as well, which suits a modern tourist.

The region certainly offers opportunities which should be used – and upgraded. We analyzed all this in the new Special Edition Newsletter “Tourism and Hospitality – Meeting New Trends”.

In an interview with Nina Lakicevic, the director of TO Tivat, you will learn about how this city is developing its offer and plans, whereas Kristina Milincic, the general manager of Sava Centar, told us about the potentials of congress tourism. Dragomir Lazovic, the director of Matis, presented the investment on Kopaonik which the company is realizing with Zetagradnja – Rozeta Resort & Residence. In the interview with Novak Bojanic, the head of the MK Tourism & Real Estate division, we traveled to Istria, as he showcased all the charms of the Petram complex to us and revealed what awaited us on Kopaonik at Hotel Grand. We presented the entire offer of Fruske Terme, which is becoming the leading thermal spa resort in Southeast Europe.

You can also learn about what awaits you in Vrnjacka Banja and Bar, but also how you can enjoy the flavors of Herzegovina. Get immersed in the gastronomic experience of five stars on Mamula as well.

Get to know the offer of the hotels Hyatt Regency Beograd, Sunce, Zlatibor, Crowne Plaza, but also the wonderful things offered by Termalna Rivijera in Bogatic.

You will also see innovations which are changing the industry – a robotized café and robot-waiters, but also learn about how a pleasant climate can be provided for hotel visitors.

We also analyzed what awaits us in the Serbian tourism this year, but also what the situation is like when it comes to the staff. Marija Labovic, the director of TOS, pointed out what the hidden assets of Serbia were and how the strategy for EXPO 2027 was being prepared. Denis Sulic, the minister of trade and tourism of Republika Srpska, talked about the number of tourists, investments, as well as the cooperation with the region. whereas, with the relevant institutions from Montenegro, we talked about this country as a world destination for MICE tourism.

Finally, enjoy a handful of pieces of trivia.
