Tender for Construction of Rail Bypass Route Around Nis Announced for April 5 – Project Worth EUR 150 Million, Works to Last 3 Years

The minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic, announced that, on April 5, the tender for the construction of the rail bypass route around that city would be opened. As he said, he will “do everything” for the works to start by the beginning of June.

According to him, the project is worth EUR 150 million and the funds are secured in the state budget.


He also said that he was “in contact with the European Investment Bank, which is providing the money.”

According to him, the construction of the bypass route will last 1,000 days, that is, slightly under three years, and solve the long-standing problem for the residents of Nis.
