All questions about the sale and ownership in "Mobtel" are finished - minimum price on the auction 800 millions eur, and the new name is "Mobi 063"
The Government of Serbia has concluded with ocnsortium of Austrian investitors an Agreement of solving all problems regarding Mobtel, which also changed the name of the company to Mobi 063.
The Agreement contains 14 documents, by which will be regulated all relations in the newley formed company, including the way of the company's sale. It has been determined that 70% of the capital of Mobi 063 belongs to the state, and to the Austrian side 30%, and also that the minimum price for sale of Mobi 063 be 800 millions eur, out of which 320 millions eur for the licence. From this kind of sale, Serbia will have 82% of the profit, that is less than a 680 millions eur.
The sale will be done by auction, and for participation can apply all companies who have at least 3 millions users and a profit in 2005 of at least 500 millions eur. The buyer will have to take all users and workers of Mobtel to himself.
Regarding the third licence for mobile telephony, it will not be given in the next 2.5 years, unless the company offers more than the amount given on the auction for Mobtel.
"The Agreement finally solves all questions in front of international and domestic courts, 13 in total. This means that Arbitrage in Zurich remains, and the accuse against Serbia will be withdrawed for giving back the licence. Also the accuse against BK Trade will be withdrawed for getting 135 of the shares in Telekom." pointed out minister of financies of Serbia, Mladjan Dinkic.
