The works on the new lane of the Danube Corridor fast route, on the section from the Belgrade-Nis highway to Pozarevac, are being brought to a close, following which the traffic will be moved to that lane, after which the reconstruction of the existing lane will begin, announced the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic.

As he pointed out, the section of the Danube Corridor to Pozarevac and the additional 11 km which connect Golubac and Veliko Gradiste will also be completed by the end of this year.

– The Danube Corridor, all 67.49 km of it, will be completed by the end of September next year. That is a year and a half before the expiration of the deadline. We are already planning the continuation Golubac-Donji Milanovac-Brza Palanka-Kladovo-Negotin – Vesic pointed out in an announcement on social networks.

Let us remind that, when the construction of the Danube Corridor began in November 2021, it was pointed out that the first section of a total of three would be completed by the end of 2023 and the entire corridor by November 2024.

The works on this corridor are carried out by the Chinese company Shandong Hi-Speed.
