Merkur achieves positive results in July, sales smaller than planned

Merkur registered a sales revenue of EUR 19.8 million and a net profit of EUR 70,000 in July, but it did not meet the sales plan. Its business result amounted to minus EUR 500,000, but the net financial result was improved thanks to lower financial expenditures.
People at the company say that they now enter the period of business stabilization. Merkur's daughter company Mersteel registered a EUR 3.5 million business revenue and EUR 75,000 worth of business losses in July, but the final result amounted to EUR 20.5 million, based on other revenues.
