"JAT Airways" airplanes won't fly to New York after all

Even tough "JAT Airways" has put a direct line from Belgrade to New York in its regular summer flight schedule, which should start in the beginning of June, 2006, will not happen after all.

The main reason to that is that SCG still doesn't have a so-called "category 1", that is approval from USA, without which the flight to a country across the Atlantic is not allowed. As said in the largest airline company in SCG, JAT's flight to New York would be cancelled, as now it is certain that this company won't be able to get all necessary licences from USA by June, 2006.

However, according to the words of JAT Airways officials, the line to New York is not under question and in the future it will be introduced for sure. In the meantime, as the alternative it is being announced in JAT that the flights could be done in such way that our airline company would hire airplanes from foreign companies to fly on the traffic line to New York.

Besides travelling to New York, JAT airplanes should fly to Toronto as well from June, 2006, for which do not exist any obstacles.
