Severina, pop groups, Plavi orkestar and Crvena Jabuka in Novi Becej - Assumption days from 25th to 28th August

Old thing in Novi Becej. In the midst of preparing for "Assumption days," a varied program full with concerts, ceremonial chariots races, ethnic bazaar and other interesting and attractive things to arouse all your senses was announced by people from Novi Becej.

- Manifestation "Assumption Days" which will be held from 25th to 28th August does not need special introduction any more - it was said at the press conference held in the Municipal Building.

As they say, "Assumption days" has in recent years become a recognized brand in Vojvodina and Serbia, and it is known in the whole region. The question is what people of Novi Bcej have prepared to surprise the public this time. One year it was a house for a famous Croatian singer Severina and other pop stars on the banks of the River Tisa in Novi Becej. The other year it was the humanitarian shooting of Mayor Milivoje Vrebalova with balloons full of water. This year it's a challenge for media companies to compete with the Mayor in making fish soup. But that's only part of the story that will take place next week in Novi Becej.

- In the past five years a lot of work on the promotion of "Assumption days" has been done. Otherwise, we would not be recognized as the fourth highest quality events in Serbia, after the 'Exit', 'Guca' and 'Beer Fest, and we received the Gold medal at the International Tourism Fair. Last year there was about 130,000 people, and now we expect to exceed that number and reach 150,000. Ambassadors of several countries will visit Novi Becej, the very political leadership of Serbia, and we also expect visitors from the region - Hungary, Romania, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Milivoje Vrebalov yesterday and stressed that the money from the humanitarian action of shooting the Mayor with balloons filled with water, is intended for ill children.

The manager of the event Sasa Sucurovic, said that every year the organizers try to make "Assumption days" different from the previous one, and this time the novelty is the Wine Street, the Children Street, and tambura gangs competition.

Accommodation in hostels and private homes range from 700-1000 dinars. Hotel accommodation is 2,300 dinars, while the camp is only 250 dinars.

Provided transportation from Belgrade

Milivoj Vrebalov pointed out that bus company Bečejprevoz arrange transportation from Belgrade to Novi Becej every day during the event. Departure is at 17 pm in front of the Sava Centre, a ticket is 1,200 dinars, which is half the price of regular prices.

Parking

There was appeal from Novi Becej municipality that the event start in time in order to avoid large crowds. As for the organization of parking Novi Sad Parking Services is engaged and the cost per vehicle will be 200 dinars.

As they could not know the exact number of visitors in the previous years, this year they will set the meter for the number of guests.
