The German company Deutsche Bahn (DBST), which is testing the fast railroad from Novi Sad to Subotica that Serbia is building with its Chinese partners, tested the fast railroad section from Novi Sad to Subotica on Wednesday, and on the very first day of the testing, a speed of 202 kilometers per hour was achieved, thereby confirming the quality of the construction of the fast railroad, minister Goran Vesic wrote on Instagram.
– Serbian railroads are a combination of the Chinese technology and the European standard. All our fast railroads are built fully in line with the European standards in line with the EU directives and the Serbian law on the interoperability of the rail traffic. The fast railroad that we are building now from Novi Sad is being certified for EU standards by one of the biggest European companies from the Netherlands, and the technical control and acceptance is being done by the reputable German company Deutsche Bahn – said Vesic.
At the beginning of December this year, traffic will begin on the fast railroad to Subotica. Serbia will have 183 kilometers of fast railroads, and it will take 80 minutes to travel from Belgrade to Subotica by fast train, 64 minutes to Backa Topola and 53 minutes to Vrbas.
