Sombor sells 21 ha of land in Industrial Zone

Two weeks ago, representatives of Sombor signed the agreement on the sale of 21 hectares of land in the Industrial Zone, where factories are to be built, stated mayor Antonio Ratkovic. He pointed out that the beginning of the construction of the fast route, which had begun in 2023, was also important for bringing investors to the city, as announced on the city’s website.

– Some 7-8 years ago, we didn’t have an industrial zone at all, but to our great satisfaction, year after year, we have managed to develop that part and now we have it. In order to bring an investor, we have to have roads, railroads, use all the potentials that are present in our territory. Regarding that, the beginning of the construction of the fast route started last year and we are already feeling the benefits, as also shown by the fact that, some two weeks ago, we signed the agreement on the sale of 21 hectares of land in the Industrial Zone, where factories are to be built – said Ratkovic.

He added that the city, with the help of the Provincial Government and the Republic of Serbia, had built the new road Stapar-Sivac, that it was completing the Backi Monostor-Kupusina road, that the construction of the Ridjica-Rastina road was in progress, that they were building new water supply structures, and that, in addition to that, there were also efforts toward the realization of the project of the construction of nearly 300 kilometers of the sewer network.

– We will have plenty more projects on which we are working and projects which are planned, in order to further develop our city – he said.
