Chinese train “Soko” arrives to Serbia – To go from Novi Sad to Subotica

The Chinese electric fast train made by CRRC Changchun, branded as another “Soko”, has arrived to Serbia.

The model of the Chinese “Soko” was showcased three days ago in Backa Topola during the connecting of the final track on the Novi Sad-Subotica railroad, and the train is now branded as “Soko” and has arrived to Serbia.

Let us remind that, last year, the Serbian delegation signed the agreement on the purchase of trains with the Chinese company CRRC Changchun.

This is the first time that a Chinese electric fast train for a speed of 200 km/h has been exported to Europe.

The trains which include 20 rail cars, split into five sets, will go between Serbia and Hungary, it was announced at the time.

The fast railroad from Novi Sad to Subotica might open to traffic as soon as this December.
