American company Ecor Global planning construction of facility in Novi Becej

After the Belgian company Somnis Bedding, that is, the Serbian company Belirija, recently became the owner of land in the new Industrial Zone “Izlaz” in Novi Becej, the American company Ecor Global, which produces ecological panels from agricultural waste, and which already has one facility in Serbia, which is located in Kraljevo, has become the owner of three parcels in the Kumanacki Put Street.

According to Dejan Vujovic, the director of Ecor Global in Serbia, the future facility in Novi Becej will have a bigger capacity, and, for a start, a collection center for biomass will be built.

– Due to the signed agreements in Europe, regarding our new panel, we had the need to increase the production capacities, and we found the best cooperation in the Municipality of Novi Becej. We have selected the location and the next step is to build a collection center, because we get the most raw material from Novi Becej and Becej, and then we are starting a large-scale production, which will be much bigger than the initial one. We will employ 150 to 170 people, and the investment will amount to 70 to 90 million. We will first wait for the municipality to finish the infrastructure. We are planning to complete everything in two years and, when the machines arrive, to have the full production.

The president of the municipality of Novi Becej, Sasa Maksimovic, took a tour of the works on the first phase of the construction of traffic routes in the Industrial Zone “Izlaz” together with representatives of Ecor Global.

– The works have already started, and after the completion of the first phase, the realization of the second phase will begin as well – said Maksimovic.

He added that the Industrial Zone “Izlaz” had an area of 200 hectares and that Novi Becej had time to attract investors for the next 20 years, reported TV Novi Becej, as announced on the website of the municipality.
