Telekom Serbia has become the owner of the Arena Sports
The Director General of Telekom Serbia, Branko Radujko, said on Friday (26th, August 2011) on the occasion of recapitalization of TV Arena Sport, that by entering the partnership with that company Telekom expanded its presence in the region, so that it now operates in Croatia, but it is actually present in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, too.
Radujko said that Telekom recognized Arena as the most attractive sport TV channel in the region, which is why it entered an arrangement to be present on cable TV Open TV IPTV, tablet computers and mobile phones, the Internet and 3G mobile networks.
Radujko stressed that the new service will contribute to the development of sports in Serbia in all its forms.
This investment represents a major investment of Telekom Serbia after buying a majority share package Serbian Telekom and the establishment of the operator m: tel in Montenegro.The acquisition of Telekom Serbia has become the first telecommunications operator in Serbia, which in addition to distribution will play an important role in the production of multimedia contents.
"Telekom Serbia" will enable the viewing of television programs, not only the Arena sports channels, television with internet (Web TV) and TV on mobile devices, tablet PCs and phones (Mobile TV).
Most watched sports channel and a leading telecommunications company in the region, as stated in the announcement of "Telekom Serbia", have launch new joint projects that will soon be offered in the markets of Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro.
By purchasing Sports Arena channel, "Telekom Serbia" will provide users with their own content and so extend the already considerable range of multimedia services.
Unlike traditional TV, users of the Internet and mobile phones with Web and Mobile TV will, in addition to TV programs, be able to watch the special and exclusive contents such as games, concerts, films and various entertainment and news programs that are not on the regular program.
New Web Services and Mobile TV customers, "Telekom Serbia" will be available from 1 September.
Television programs via the Internet (Web TV) will be available in three packages: Basic (B92 info, SOS, Studio B, Feelmax Yu, On TV, Travel, Outdoor, BBC World, DM SAT), Arena package (Arena 1, 2 , 3, 4) and packages for adults (Dorcel).
An additional benefit is that a user of Web TV, when he needs it, can have access to these TV programs, and he can activate the packages in duration of only 24 hours.
Via mobile phone (Mobile TV), users will be able to accompany the 14 TV channels: info B92, Studio B, SOS, Metropolis Arena Sport 1, 2, 3, 4, Feelmax, S TV, Bloomberg, BBC World, Deutsc Welle and Dorcel are also divided into basic (live TV), Arena and package for adults.
Users on the Mondo WAP portal should select the "Video" and beside the aforementioned TV shows they will have free use of other interesting multimedia content such as road conditions, films and series, football Premier League and League Cup and the like, according to a statement.
