At the end of the year, Air Serbia will expand its operations in the Chinese market, using the opportunities arising from the revival of outbound tourism from one of the strongest economies following the Covid pandemic, wrote James Hogan, the former CEO of Etihad.

– The importance of new lines from Belgrade to Shanghai and Guangzhou cannot be underestimated, considering the expectation that 130 million citizens of China will travel abroad in 2024, which is 50% more than last year – he pointed out, the Blic daily reports.

Air Serbia also plans to launch a line to Miami in the comping period, a third destination of this airline carrier in America, in addition to New York and Chicago, said Hogan.

The addition of these new cities to the growing international network of Air Serbia, which currently carries out regular and charter flights on over 90 lines in 34 countries in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, shows to what extent this airline company continues to grow, he pointed out.

From the three international airports in Serbia, the main airport in Belgrade and the airports in Nis and Kraljevo, in this truly excellent business year, Air Serbia carried out over 45,000 flights, which is 44% more than in 2022, Hogan said.
