Construction of a new economic zone in Cacak announced

In the next few years, Cacak will have another economic zone in addition to Preljina, Konjevic and the Cer zone, which will be rounded off with the third phase of the Science and Technology Park, Mayor Milun Todorovic announced.

- The new economic zone will round off the entire business environment and of course there will be even more funds in the Cacak city budget - he said.

Todorovic pointed out that the city of Cacak was a pioneer when it comes to dual education and that this practice will continue.

- We have gone a step further, we are strengthening and improving the conditions primarily in secondary education in our Secondary Mechanical School for both the textile and metal industries. This way, we are paving the way so that even from secondary education, young people will know in which sector they will get a job - he said.

Todorovic pointed out that there are currently around 40,000 employees in Cacak and about 3,000 unemployed.

- The only thing we are afraid of in the future is a serious lack of manpower. A lot of workers already come in from other countries - Todorovic said.

He reiterated that, by the end of May, the construction of a large foreign factory is underway, with room for 800 highly educated workers, but that the local economy is also developing alongside these foreign investments.
