Greek company Retail & More AE plans acquisitions in the Balkans - Apart from Serbia, the group is also entering North Macedonia and Albania

The Greek-based company Retail & More AE, part of the AVE group, is planning expansion and acquisitions in the Balkans, Retail Serbia learns.

The company recently concluded an agreement with the Carrefour Group and became a franchisee for the markets of Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania, as well as for the territory of AP Kosovo and Metohija. Last year, Retail & More took over the Carrefour license for Bulgaria, where the first supermarkets have recently been opened. As the Retail Serbia portal learns, the Greek company is planning acquisitions throughout the Balkans, and unofficially, the focus will be on small and medium-sized retailers. In the coming period, the group plans to strengthen its presence on the home market by opening new facilities, and intensive negotiations are underway with the Carrefour group to promote an even greater number of Greek brands marketed under the Carrefour private label.

Retail & More AE is the Greek subsidiary of AVE Group. During 2021, the company became the recipient of the Carrefour franchise for Greece, and a year later opened the first markets under their brand. Through partnership with the local Bulgarian companies, entrance to the Bulgarian market took less than a year.
