The “Infrastructure for the Future” project, with which the Government of Serbia, through the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations and the Ministry for Public Investment, applied with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the expansion of the science-technology parks in Nis and Cacak, but also for the construction of a new one in Krusevac, as well as for the BIO4 project, won the silver sustainability award at the annual meeting of EBRD, held in Yerevan last week.

The annual EBRD Sustainability Awards celebrate the achievements of the clients in promoting environmental and social responsibility.

– For over 10 years we have been proud to recognize those who demonstrate excellence and commitment to managing environmental and social issues, promoting energy efficiency, combating climate change and advancing inclusion – says the EBRD website.

Let us remind that, in June last year in Belgrade, representatives of the Government of Serbia and the EBRD signed a loan agreement worth EUR 80 million, of which EUR 70 million is meant for the expansion of two STPs and the construction of another one, and EUR 10 million is meant for the construction of the BIO4 campus.
