Russian retail chain to open its first megamarket in Serbia – Mere to arrive to Leskovac by end-June

The Russian retail chain Mere is to arrive to Leskovac and open its first megamarket in Serbia. The works on the equipping of the facility are well on their way and, by the end of June at the latest, Leskovac will get another retail chain whose characteristic are low prices.

The company Ros product, with its Mere markets, entered Serbia around 3.5 years ago and today it has over 60 retail outlets.

– Initially, the store in Leskovac will spread on 1,120 square meters, but in a few months, as soon as we finish the adaptation of another facility, it will be expanded to 2,300 square meters and it will be the first mega Mere in Serbia. We are characterized by pallet-based sales and in the past year, we have been undergoing a major boom, which means that, throughout the country, plenty more facilities are being adapted and prepared – Marko Jezdimirovic, the development manager, says for Resetka.

The Mere market in Leskovac is located in Djordja Stamenkovica Street, in front of the company Yura, in a facility owned by the Leskovac-based company Frenki.

– The policy of our house is not to build, but rent existing spaces, which we then develop in line with our rules. The one in Leskovac has fully met our needs, and the decision to open the first Mega market is the product of the good experience and cooperation with the partners here.

– We will offer over 400 products to the customers, mostly food products. However, we always have a good offer of home cleaning products, personal hygiene products, notions and textiles, small home devices and many other interesting products. The pallets feature goods made by local producers, but also producers from Russia and other European countries – says Jezdimirovic.

The market in Leskovac also has its own parking lot.
