Zastava Arms to export 30,000 carbines to US market

On request of Remington, Zastava Arms will increase this-year supply of hunting carbines to US market by about 25%, which will also be the percentage of increase of financial effect of that export. Instead of agreed 24,000 carbines worth 3.2 million USD, Kragujevac-based factory will deliver 30,000 pcs of this weapon to the market of America, Canada and Mexico. Remington has already sold or signed contracts on sale of all 24,000 planned carbines and it asks us to increase the delivery of that weapon. We will respond by increasing export of carbines by another 6,000 pcs, says manager of Zastava Arms Dragoljub Grujović.

From the beginning of the year until end of March, Kragujevac-based factory delivered 9,000 hunting carbines to Remington, which is, according to Grujović's words, absolute record as far as export of that weapon to USA is concerned.
