France among 10 biggest investors in Serbia

The minister of domestic and foreign trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, has stated that Serbia has taken over the leading role as a regional industrial, trade and digital hub, attracting close to 80% of the French investments in the Western Balkans, announced the Government of Serbia.

At the opening of the France-Western Balkans Business Forum, Momirovic said that France was on the list of the 10 biggest investors, with investments worth EUR 1.3 billion and that close to 340 active companies with a majority French capital were registered in Serbia.


He pointed out that there was a constant trend of increasing the goods exchange with France and that it had tripled in the preceding ten years and reminded that, in 2023, France had been the 12th biggest trade partner of Serbia, and the value of the total goods exchange amounted to EUR 1.8 billion.
