Economy profitable in 2023

The Serbian Business Registers Agency (SBRA) has released the Financial Statements Annual Bulletin for 2023, containing official aggregate data on the business performance of legal entities and entrepreneurs.

In addition to the Bulletin, which contains data on the real sector, financial institutions and the non-profit sector, an analysis was also published, outlining basic findings on the business performance of legal entities and entrepreneurs in 2023. The data published in the Bulletin provide the first comprehensive overview of the business performance of legal entities and entrepreneurs in the previous year.

Notwithstanding the challenges the economy has faced in previous years, the data shows that it operated with a positive net result, for the ninth year in a row, of RSD 972,446 million, a 12.3% increase on an annual level. Additionally, 1,307,587 were employed across companies, the SBRA says in the press release.

The Bulletin was compiled based on the preliminary aggregate data from the regular annual financial statements and statistical reports for 162,718 legal entities and 117,115 entrepreneurs, which had been entered into the database, in accordance with regulations.

The Financial Statements Annual Bulletin for 2022 is published in the section Registers/Financial Statements/Publications, which also contains the Basic Findings on the Business Performance of Legal Entities and Entrepreneurs in 2023.
