Priboj soon to get new investor – Factory for production of auto components to be built in part of FAP facility

Priboj will soon get a new investor and a new factory, the local self-government announced. The new factory will be built in a part of the facility of Masinska Obrada of FAP, and it will produce components for the automotive industry. As they add, the negotiations have been going on for a long time now, and the idea is now merely being made concrete.

The consent for the transfer of the state’s public property into the municipality’s public property for the land on which the new factory is to be built was given by the members of the Priboj Council at a session held on July 5, and the members of the Municipal Assembly of Priboj have the final say.

– The new factory will be built in a part of Masinska Obrada of FAP, across the road from ES TURS, and everything is being coordinated with the Cabinet of the President of the Republic and the Ministry of Defense, because FAP is part of Serbia’s defense industry. The state will transfer that land to the Municipality of Priboj, and we will transfer it to the new investor, for which we will receive certain funds as well. FAP will get EUR 7.5 million for the construction of a blaster and a painting facility, which is excellent for both FAP and the City of Priboj – points out Lazar Rvovic, the president of the Municipality of Priboj.
