The Free Trade Agreement that has been signed with Egypt will enable Serbian agriculturists to be competitive in that market, pointed out the minister of domestic and foreign trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic. He estimated on TV Pink that this agreement, along with the one with China, will enable Serbia to boost livestock farming.

– More than 80% of agricultural products will either be made duty-free or be subject to a privileged rate – Momirovic pointed out.

He explained that the privileged rate meant that the customs fees on a part of the products would be reduced and that, with each year, they would be lower, eventually being fully removed four to ten years later.

– In addition to agriculture, it’s also an opportunity for the confectionery industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the food industry. An excellent opportunity for all those industries to find customers in the Egyptian market – concluded Momirovic.
