Two candidates from Serbia also in running for position of director of ToMontenegro – Eight applications sent in response to contest

Eight applications have been sent in response to the contest for the position of the CEO of the national Montenegrin airline carrier ToMontenegro, whereas interviews with the candidates are expected to take place at the beginning of September, the Ministry of Transport officially told the Vijesti daily.

They couldn’t tell the names of the candidates to Vijesti and forwarded the daily to the board of directors of the state national airline company, which didn’t respond.

The source of Vijesti familiar with the contest for this position, which lasted between July 24 and August 7, has clarified that among the applicants are Mohamed Mihad from the Maldives, Daman Preet Singh from India, Oliver Meier, Zoran Hudak and Dejan Cukovic from Serbia, as well as Biljana Knezevic, Vojislav Kaludjerovic and Vukadin Stojanovic.

The director’s mandate lasts four years.

– The competition for the executive director ended on August 7, as we were informed, eight applications were received in a timely manner. As it is the competence of the Board of Directors of ToMontenegro to conduct interviews with candidates and make recommendations to the Ministry of Transport, the choice of the executive director will depend on the dynamics of the work of the board itself. What we have received as information is that the interviews with the candidates will take place at the beginning of September. The Board of Directors can provide you with information about the names of the candidates themselves – said the department managed by Maja Vukicevic.

On July 11, the government relieved Mark Anjur of the duty of executive director of the company and issued a decision on the appointment of Stojanovic as acting director.
