Construction of industrial zone in Presevo begins

The foundation stone for the construction of the industrial zone in that place has been laid down. The beginning of the works was marked by the president of the municipality, Ardita Sinani, and her deputy, Ragmi Mustafa, who estimated that it was a big step in the economic development of Presevo, and the ceremony was attended by representatives of the international donors.

– The opening of the industrial zone is an investment that Presevo has been expecting for a long time and a golden opportunity for inciting economic development. We will secure modern infrastructure for the investors, creating a favorable environment for manufacturers, both local and foreign, for the creation of new jobs – said Sinani.

She emphasized that Presevo had an excellent geographic position, near Corridor 10 and the railroad, which should be used for attracting investments and developing a stable and powerful economy.

According to the official statistical data, Presevo is among the poorest municipalities in Serbia.

Let us remind that, in Presevo, with EUR 620,000 of financial support from the European Union (EU), the construction of utility infrastructure began in the Industrial Zone Cukarka so as to create the conditions for attracting investments and creating jobs.
