The Europe House in Belgrade was opened yesterday on the corner of Kneza Mihaila and Zmaj Jovina streets, in the presence of state officials, representatives of diplomatic corps and numerous partners, with the aim of strengthening the bonds between Serbia and the European Union. This new cultural center in the heart of the capital city is meant for meetings, learning, debates and the promotion of European values through various cultural and education programs, announced the EU Delegation to Serbia.

– The Europe House is our meeting place for people, ideas and cultures, all under one European roof. A place that belongs to all of us, where we can celebrate our similarities and differences, in a spirit of mutual respect and open-mindedness – said the Ambassador of the European Union to Serbia, Emanuele Giaufret.

The minister of European integration of Serbia, Tanja Miscevic, emphasized the importance of this space for the process of European integration of Serbia.

The ceremonial opening was accompanied by an artistic work – a painted model of a house that symbolizes togetherness, in which six artists from Serbia and the EU participated.

The exhibition of their works in Europe House will last until September 11.
