Bosnia and Herzegovina accepts agreement on reconstruction of railroad from Ruma to Doboj – Project worth EUR 550 million

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday accepted the agreement on cooperation on the joint realization of the project of the reconstruction and modernization of the Ruma-Sabac-Loznica-Zvornik-Tuzla-Doboj railroad.

This agreement was signed between the Council of Ministers of B&H and the Government of Serbia, the Presidency of B&H announced.

A full reconstruction requires around EUR 500 million. Based on the Draft Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, the two countries will jointly apply toward European and international funds in order to secure the necessary funds.

The projected speed on this railroad section will be up to 120 km/h, and it will depend on local conditions.
