On Starlink’s Europe map, unfortunately, only Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are marked with a darker color, alluding to the fact that the availability of said internet service is unclear for the time being. However, things change when we hover the mouse pointer over the given state, and in this case, Serbia and Montenegro should be able to use Starlink as soon as this year.
Starlink is a fast satellite-based internet service whose signal is sent back to Earth with the help of the satellites which are clustered like a constellation and located lower than the standard satellites. Above all, they enable fast data transfer in rural areas where the physical internet infrastructure could not be installed and where there are in fact no populated areas or possibilities for it.
In order to use Starlink, it is necessary to have certain equipment, which the company itself delivers to its users worldwide, and which consists of an antenna and a router, which have their one-off prices. After that, the charge pertains to the use of satellite internet. For Serbia, the expected price could be around EUR 50, but that depends on several factors. The Starlink app also needs to be downloaded.
