Bajatovic said that the project of the expansion of Banatski Dvor was going as planned and that the equipment had been defined and commissioned.
During the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of Srbijagas in Novi Sad, Djedovic Handanovic pointed out that the strategic interest of Serbia was to have a gas storage facility in its territory.
– I expect us to have storage capacities of 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas in Banatski Dvor by the end of 2026, which will make a key contribution to the energy security and stability in the next 25 years – said the minister.
She said that the gas storage facilities were well filled in both Serbia and Hungary and that additional deliveries from Azerbaijan had been agreed as well.
– In November, we will have 750 million cubic meters in Banatski Dvor and 163 million in Hungary. We have also secured additional quantities from Azerbaijan, which we will withdraw in line with our needs, and the agreement will be made official soon – the minister pointed out.
