Thanks to the strict standards it adheres to in production, the local pellet made from 100% beechwood is marked with the “Cuvarkuca” watermark, a confirmation of extraordinary quality and local origin, awarded by the CCIS.
On 9.5 hectares of area, with the help of solar energy, the factory produces certified A2-class pellets on state-of-the-art automatic technological line of the Italian manufacturer Construzioni Nazzareno.
– If we go back three years, in one year, we invested more than EUR 1,200,000 in setting up the solar power plant which is located on the roofs of our business facilities. This enables us to produce fully ecological pellets – says Svetlana Bozinovic, the director of Eko Step Pellet.
The solar power plant has a capacity of 1 MW for own needs with the possibility of returning the surplus energy to the public distribution grid, which legally makes it a prosumer of electricity.
They export pellets to the markets of Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Romania.
