Belgrade to get Projektni biro

The Decision on founding the Public Enterprise Projektni biro Grada Beograda (Design Office of the City of Belgrade) was adopted at the session of the City Assembly of Belgrade, and the head urban planner, Marko Stojcic, said that it was justified for the city to have a smaller design office that would consist of people already working in the City Administration.

– The acting director is Darko Sutanovac, an architectural engineer, who works in the Head Urban Planner Office as deputy director. He is a man who has plenty of experience with public facilities, the control of the construction of public facilities, the development of public areas. He should gather a team of around ten people for public enterprises and secretariats who have the license of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers, so that, once they are brought together, they would have the right to prepare a project and get the permit for that. The City of Belgrade would thereby have considerably greater control over the quality of those projects and then, later on, over the quality of the works as well. I believe that we will hereby manage to put some relatively simple or medium-complex things into motion and control them – Stojcic clarified, as announced on the City’s website.

The members of the City Assembly adopted the Statute of the PE Projektni biro and the Decision on appointing the president and the members of the Supervisory Board of the PE Projektni biro.
