International congress “Sustainable Architecture – Energy Efficiency” from October 4-6 in Belgrade

The seventh international congress Sustainable Architecture - Energy Efficiency will be held from October 4-6, 2024, in the building of the Yugoslav Film Archive in Belgrade. This event will gather leading experts from the field of architecture with the focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources.

The aim of the event is to affirm the topics which are becoming central in modern architecture – sustainable development and energy efficiency. The lecturers will present their experiences and projects, and among them are the recipients of some of the most prestigious architecture awards in 2024.

In addition to expert lectures, the participants will be able to visit exhibitions of sponsors and brands that will present the latest building technologies, materials and products. The congress will especially focus on the question how architectural planning will have to respond to the challenges of climate change and pollution in the future.

Belgrade will be visited by nine foreign architects: Max Hacke (Germany), Christina Seilern (England), Andrija Rusan (Croatia), Ashild Vangensteen Bjørvik (Norway), Cécile Brisac (France), Marcel Ferencz (Hungary), Rahel Belatchew (Sweden), Stig Mikkelsen (Denmark), and Boštjan Vuga (Slovenia). The lecturer from Serbia will be the reputable architect Goran Vojvodić.

The event is organized by the Ekokultplus association, the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade, Magazin za eko arhitekturu i kulturu Eko kuća and Arhisolar, with participation of faculties of architecture from the region.
