The minister of domestic and foreign trade of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, has stated that, according to the ministry’s expectations and the estimates of the National Bank of Serbia, presented at the session of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for GDP Growth, the “Best Price” campaign will help reduce the inflation by 0.3 percentage points, so it is expected to be under four percent.

Momirovic pointed out that the aim of the “Best Price” campaign was to enable citizens to buy essential foodstuffs in the period of higher inflation rates as a consequence of the war in east Europe and the broken value chains due to the geostrategic risks, the Government of Serbia announced on its website.

The minister said that he was happy that said campaign was carried out with maximum support from retailers and all other participants in the supply chain and added that they had showed a high level of understanding for the problems the citizens faced.
