Serbian manufacturers signed EUR 25 million export agreements at food fair in Moscow
Twenty food manufacturers from Serbia presented their products at the recently held international food fair in Moscow. These companies made over 900 contacts and concluded EUR 25 million worth of export agreements.
For the first time at this fair, manufacturers from Serbia successfully presented a selection of meat products to Russian buyers. The company LTS signed an agreement on the export of EUR 1 million worth of meat products per month.
In association with the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), the USAID Agribusiness Project backed the participation of Serbian companies in that food fair for the fourth consecutive year.
When compared to the last year, companies doubled the value of agreed exports this year. Serbian companies show growing interest in participating in this event because there is a huge potential for the export of their products to the Russian market having in mind the Free Trade Agreement concluded between Serbia and Russia.
Serbian companies presented their products at two separate pavilions - fruits and vegetables, which gathered Agrar Komerc, Agroprom Com, Asocijacija Fruit Land, CoolFood, Frigogrand, Fruvela, Igda Impex, ITN, Jugprom, Mondi Srbija, PIK Juzni Banat, Planten, and Sicoberry, whereas dairy and meat products were presented by Neoplanta, LTS, Pacom international, Pajic company group, Sweet
art, Zdravo organic, and Foka.
Manufacturers this year presented a broad spectrum of high-quality fresh and frozen fruits, including apples, pears, peaches, apricots, nectarines, plums, grapes, raspberries, blackberries, cherries and sour cherries, as well as dried fruits. They also presented vegetables - sweet pepper, cabbage, cucumber, pea, and corn. In addition to fruits and vegetables, meat products, cakes and packaging solutions for the food industry were also presented at the food fair in Moscow
World Food Moscow is organized in Moscow for 19 consecutive years. This year's event gathered 1,200 exhibitors from 60 countries and about 55,000 specialized buyers and distributors.
