Swedish Gunnebo acquires Slovenian company Primat – Investments in factory in Serbia also expected

The Swedish company Gunnebo Safe Storage, a global supplier of certified solutions for physical security, has bought the company Primat, one of the leading producers of certified security equipment in Europe, with production activities in Serbia and Slovenia.

– Thanks to the production capacities in Serbia and Slovenia, after the integration process is finished, Primat Group will become a key part of the European production of safes and lockers by Gunnebo Safe Storage – the companies announce.

Primat Group consists of Primat Sistemi and Primat d.d. in Maribor, Primat Oprema in Baljevac and Primat d.o.o. in Sarajevo. The products are made in Slovenia and Serbia, and they are delivered to purchasers in over 25 countries, with a strong presence in the markets of UK, Benelux, as well as Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

As part of that acquisition, Gunnebo Safe Storage has obliged to a considerable investment in Primat Group in order to stimulate growth, upgrade the production capacities and equip the employees with the key skills, tools and opportunities for success.
