In Paris, the state secretary at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Isidora Buric, and the assistant minister, Dusan Radonjic, attended the session of the Board for the Implementation of the Construction of the “Veliko Selo” Waste Water Treatment Facility. The board was formed based on the Agreement signed between the Republic of Serbia and the French company Suez during the latest visit of the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, to Serbia.

Its main task is to prepare the project-technical and other documentation necessary for signing the commercial agreement between the French and the Serbian side, the competent ministry announced.

At the meeting, it was confirmed that state-of-the-art technology would be built into the waste water treatment facility, in line with the highest European and world standards.

Before the board meeting, the delegation of Serbia visited the waste water treatment facility in Acheres, in the north of Paris, built and run by Suez.

The capacity of that facility is five million equivalent citizens and it is currently the biggest one in Europe and the second biggest one in the world.

In addition to the representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the meeting was attended by the manager of the City of Belgrade, Miroslav Cuckovic, the general manager of the PUC Belgrade Waterworks and Sewerage, Radomir Vujadin, and the executive director for development, planning and investments, Vladimir Milojevic.

Let us remind that the French companies Suez and Vinci Construction Grands Projets have signed the memorandum of understanding for the construction and management of the first Belgrade waste water treatment facility with Serbia.
