Borovcanin: EXPO project going as planned, invitations to states and ticket sale to begin in November

At the session of the Executive Committee of Bureau International des Expositions in Paris, the Dossier on recognizing the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 was adopted unanimously and now, as RTS reports, it remains for the General Assembly of the Bureau to confirm the decision at the end of November, following which the inviting of the states and the sale of the tickets can begin.

The director of the company EXPO 2027, Dusan Borovcanin, said on RTS that the project of the construction, which is run by the Construction Directorate of Serbia was developing as planned and without any problems and that, with the adoption of the Dossier, the next-to-last formal step toward the realization of EXPO had been met.

– Our delegation returned from Paris several days ago, and it felt good visiting Paris, just like in June 2023, when we were selected to be the host, considering that the countries-members of the Executive Committee unanimously adopted the study – said Borovcanin.

According to him, the plan consists of legal, commercial elements, programs and features regarding what EXPO will look like.
