According to the September Ninamedia survey, one-year ahead inflation expectations of the financial sector rose slightly to 3.75% (from 3.5% in August) but remain still within NBS target tolerance band. Expectations from the October Bloomberg survey are lower, at 3.4%, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announces.

According to Ninamedia, one-year ahead corporate inflation expectations stayed unchanged at 5.0%, which is the value around which short-term expectations moved for the most part of the year.

It is added that two-year ahead expectations of the financial sector decreased from 3.3% in August to 3.2% in September, while three-year ahead expectations stayed unchanged in September, at 3.0%, suggesting that representatives of the financial sector expect that medium-term inflation will stabilize at around the NBS midpoint value.

Corporate medium-term inflation expectations for two and three years ahead went slightly up, to 5.0% in September and became equal to short-term expectations.
