Next year, we are looking at two upgrades of the super-computer, in which around EUR 40 million will be invested, and that’s when we will have the opportunity to offer the National Artificial Intelligence Platform for free to an even higher number of startups and science communities, while also being able to perform much more demanding and complex tasks on it ourselves, stated the director of the Office for IT and eGovernment, Mihailo Jovanovic.

At the opening of the 10th international conference on artificial intelligence and data processing DSC Europe 24, in Belgrade, he reminded that, at that moment, 38 institutions and 35 startups, with over 360 user accounts, had access to the platform.

Jovanovic reminded that the new government, in its first 100 days of operations, had formed the Artificial Intelligence Council, which actively worked on the implementation of artificial intelligence in public services, economy and everyday life.

He also announced that, on December 3-4, Belgrade would host the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Ministerial Council, which would gather ministers and leading experts from the whole world. In the next three years, Serbia will preside over this important international body, which is a great success which shows that Serbia has become a regional leader in the implementation of new technologies, innovations and digitization.

The visitors of DSC Europe 24 have the opportunity to learn about numerous projects in the field of artificial intelligence and data processing which have a positive social and environmental impact and stimulate innovations, as well as to see the startup village, in which, among others, there are startups that are users of the National Artificial Intelligence Platform, which is located in the State Data Center in Kragujevac, the Office announced.
