Discount of 20% in 2012 for Belgrade-based companies that pay this year's tax on time
Small and mid-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs, civic associations, alliances and other non-profitable organizations that pay their due municipal taxes until December 31st will be granted a 20% discount on such payments in 2012, City Secretary for Finance Renata Milic Radujko told Beoinfo.
Besides, the city of Belgrade will not make any decision to increase the current amount of local municipal taxes, fees for using a building land, local administrative taxes, and office space rental fees in 2012.
She also reminded that several concrete measures had been adopted in 2011 to reduce the fees and taxes charged to businessmen in Belgrade, with the aim of using surplus funds for hiring new workers. Since the beginning of this year, businessmen in Belgrade are freed from paying the taxes on a music performance, the use of a Hi-Fi system at a catering facility, and various other fees.
– Let us remind that, with the aim of protecting the social position of citizens, the latest amendments and supplements to the Law on Property Tax stipulate that all property tax payers cannot be charged more in 2012 than they are charged in 2011 for the same property - said the city secretary for finance.
