PharmaS to start producing generic drugs in Zrenjanin in spring 2012
Production of generic drugs in Zrenjanin is going to start in Q2 2012, at a new plant of the company PharmaS, said Radivoj Topalov, director of that Croatian company in Serbia.
Topalov
told the press in Zrenjanin that the new plant, which was currently under construction in Bagljas Industrial Zone, would annually produce over 15m packs of generic drugs for cardiovascular, gastroenterological and psychiatric diseases, meaning that its product portfolio would be the same as the one of a new plant in Popovaca near Zagreb, which was opened in 2011.
Aside from a modern production plant, a laboratory for testing the quality of drugs and a warehouse will also be built in the industrial zone Bagljas.
In the first phase of the production, a total of 20 people will be employed for an indefinite period of time.
The owner of PharmaS is Luka Rajic, former owner of Sombor-based Somboled and the second richest man in Croatia, right behind Agrokor's owner Ivica Todoric.
