Egyptians love Zastava's model 128, Kragujevac's factory continues export of disassembled automobiles to the country of pharaons
Kragujevac-based factory “Zastava Automobiles” prepares the shipment of 480 disassembled “Zastava 128” automobiles, which will, on May 22, 2006, be transported to Egypt.
The value of that export is about 1 million USD, and the factory has, since the beginning of 2006, exported 980 disassembled “Zastava 128” cars into Egypt.
“Zastava 128”, which is imported into the country in north Africa by company "Jugo Misir Trade” and assembled by company "El Nasko" in Cairo, is the most popular and best-selling vehicle on that market, although that country assembles cars from 15 different passenger vehicle manufacturers.
The fact that about 100,000 “Zastava 128” cars "cruise" the roads in the valley of the Nile is a proof of how much Egyptians love that car, of which production for the market of Serbia almost stopped in the last year.
