In spite of all announcements, there is still no gas station for ships and boats along Belgrade's riverside
Belgrade has 16,500 registered vessels, but it has not one gas station for ships and boats.
However, if we are to believe to the announcements of the authorized, that situation will be soon changed. Public Utility Company "Parking servis" will have the gas station built inside the marina on Ada Ciganlija, of which construction should start by the end of the spring 2006. Also, "aqua" gas station will be built in the Dorćol marina.
By signing the contract with the Directorate for Building Land of Belgrade, Israeli company "Engel marina Dorćol" obliged to build all related facilities alongside the Dorćol marina within the next two years, such as gas station, hangar, pumping station and crane.
According to the former announcements, construction of one such gas station will cost between 1.5m and 2m EUR. Besides, there is hope that the foreign and domestic vessels could soon fill their tanks with the fuel on location between hotel "Jugoslavija" and the Big War Island.
