Company "Golden Lady" from Italy starts construction of socks factory in Loznica, while Swiss "Swiss Pellets" plans opening of its new unit in that municipality
- Italian company "Golden Lady", which deals with the production of socks, women's and men's underwear, will have the factory built in Loznica by the end of the year 2006 - the Mayor of Loznica, Vidoje Petrović, stated.
Italian company plans construction of production hall on surface of 30,000 square meters, in which, in the first phase, 500-600 workers will be hired for the work on production of socks and women's and men's underwear. Building Company "Zidar" from Loznica, which was bought bankrupted by "Golden Lady" for 74 million CSD through its company "Valy" from Beloševac, will take part in the construction of the factory.
According to the words of Petrović, the big chances are that Swiss company "Swiss Pellets", which deals with the production of fuels, will have the factory for production of wood-based high-energy fuels, in accordance with the highest ecological standards, built in Loznica.
The representatives of Swiss company have already spoke about that with the representatives of Loznica-based company "DIV", which produces building carpentry and processes wood, and with the representatives of local self-management.
The Swiss are ready to invest 2m EUR in construction of that factory in the first phase, which would enable employment of 30 workers, under the condition that the raw materials be provided by "Srbijašume".
