Serbia and Romania reached agreement about revitalization of hydroelectric power plant "Đerdap I", construction of gas pipeline Mokrin-Arada and Pan-European oil pipeline
Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy, Radomir Naumov, and Romanian Minister of Economy and TRade, Jon Kodurt Šereš, agreed on promotion and continuation of cooperation in field of energy, which should result in realization of joint projects in 2007.
They spoke about commencement of revitalization of hydroelectric power plant "Đerdap I", construction of gas pipeline Mokrin-Arada (which would connect gas pipeline systems of these two countries), as well as construction of Pan-European oil pipeline (PEOP) and long-distance power line of 400 kV Vršac-Temišvar.
Construction of long-distance power line between Romania and Serbia will significantly strengthen the relations between the two power supply systems, which will create conditions for fulfilling demands for cross-border turnover of electric energy.
The ministers took into consideration the status of the project for Pan-European oil pipeline and agreed on joint realization.
Promotion of cooperation was made official by the signing of the conclusions that should become memorandum.
