Tenders for privatization of Steam Power Plant and Coal mine in Pljevlja not to be prolonged
Manager of Montenegrin Agency for Restructuring of Economy and Foreign Investments Branko Vujović announced that the suggestion of some companies that the tender for privatization of Steam Power Plant "Pljevlja" and 31% of State-owned assets in Pljevlja-based Coal mine, which was to expire on June 1, 2006, should be prolonged for the third time was not accepted.
Russian "Belon group" and "En plus Group", Czech "ČEZ", Holding company for Slovenian Power Plants, Austrian "Ferbund" and Greek-American consortium consisting of "Public power corporation" and "Kontur Global" are interested in privatization of Steam Power Plant and Coal Mine in Pljevlja, so that it is expected that these six companies will take part in the tender.
Entire property of Steam Power Plant "Pljevlja" is owned by Electric Power Company of Montenegro, while the State owns 31.11% of stocks in the Coal Mine, company "Alfa invest" owns 22.93% and company "Maprenat" owns 20.58%.
