Additional 400 jobs at logistics center in Nis
A resolution concerning the determination of the proposed decision on adoption of a Feasibility Study for alienation of a building land within the complex of Konstantin Veliki Airport in Nis has been accepted unanimously at a session of the City Council.
As Head of the Office for Local Economic Development Milan Randjelovic explained, this Feasibility Study was modeled after adopted studies for investments made by companies Yura, Dytech, Haj Ararat and Yura Shin Won. Nis was the first city in Serbia to adopt such studies on the basis of new regulations.
The company Eyemaxx plans to build a logistics center spanning over 100,000 square meters on a 26.4-hectare lot. The value of this investment is about EUR 60 million, and preparations lasted for two years.
The Feasibility Study, which will soon be presented to the aldermen of the City Assembly, relates to the first phase of this large investment and envisages the alienation of an 8.4-hectare building land and a 36,000-square-meter cargo center. Over the next five years, this investment should contribute to the creation of 400 new jobs at the logistics center.
The investor is obliged to submit bank guarantees, and Eyemaxx has provided EUR 1.5 million for the first phase of this investment. Complete investment must be implemented within five years.
