Leading European brands finally in Serbia at lower prices - Fashion Park Outlet opens in Indjija on April 19th
The long-awaited first outlet center in Serbia will be opened in Indjija on April 19th. It will be the place where people will be able to buy clothes, footwear and accessories with a discount of 30 to 70 percent during the whole year.
Spanning over 15,000 square meters of retail space, which is the size of two football pitches, this complex will comprise 65 stores of the world's most famous brands.
Since October 2010, when the construction started, EUR 25 million have been invested in the outlet center, whereas the total value of this project is expected to reach EUR 40 million. About 1,000 people worked on the construction of the complex in Indjija. Once all stores are opened, 500 people will work at the outlet center, while another 500 should be hired until the final phase of the project in 2016.
A tenancy agreement has already been signed by some of the world's top brands: Tommy Hilfiger, Miss Sixty, Replay, Nike, Timberland, Guess, Adidas, Converse, Bata, Levi’s, Movem-Hugo Boss, Ecco Shoes, Burlington, Piquadro, 7Camicie, Lisca, Skechers, East Pack, Office Shoes, Time Out, XYZ with the entire range of brands, SPORTINA Outlet and many others.
Aside from stores, the outlet center will also include a playground for children, seven coffee shops and restaurants, an exchange office and a bank office. There will also be a parking lot for 1,200 cars.

The outlet center in Indjija is situated in the vicinity of E75 highway, which connects Belgrade and Novi Sad, and it is less than 60 minutes of driving away from the two largest cities in the country. What makes this big investment even more important is the fact that it was built using domestic resources and domestic manpower at the time of the global economic crisis and in unstable market conditions. The investor is BlackOak Developments, the project is backed by UniCredit Bank, while the operator is GVA Outlets from Great Britain, one of the most famous outlet operators in Europe, it was stressed at yesterday's press conference.
The lead architect and contractor is Energogroup, which modeled the open-air complex in Indjija after the shopping streets in Italian cities. Investors say that the specific design represents a blend of the Mediterranean and the Pannonian style, with its main features being arcade arches, moving facade and facade windows on floors.
Work on the expansion of the outlet center's capacity will be continued after the opening ceremony. The plan is to expand the complex by additional 10,000 square meters in the next phase, until 2014, and by another 5,000 square meters in the third phase, until 2016.
