Plevlja-based Vektra Jakic placed into bankruptcy
The Commercial Court in Bijelo Polje has placed Vektra Jakic, one of the companies owned by Podgorica's businessman Dragan Brkovic, into bankruptcy.
This was done at the request of Hungary's OTP Bank, which filed that request because of an outstanding EUR 75 million loan granted by OTP Bank to Vektra Montenegro and endorsed by Vektra Jakic.
In addition, a procedure for placing few more Brkovic's companies into bankruptcy because of debts exceeding EUR 160 million in total is underway at Podgorica's Commercial Court.
The Court of Appeals earlier annulled the decision to put Vektra Montenegro, Brkovic's main company, into bankruptcy.
